Why an administrator would use this
When two Metin2 items have similar names or icons, a GM tooltip with the numeric VNUM helps trace the selected item back to item_proto, a quest reward or a shop definition. This download is a compact Python-root integration snippet, not a client pack and not a complete uitooltip.py replacement.

How this copy works
The supplied 475-byte instruction file adds a line inside ItemToolTip.AddItemData. It checks chr.IsGameMaster(player.GetMainCharacterIndex()) and appends the current itemVnum using AppendTextLine and PRICE_COLOR. There is no server packet, database migration or new resource image in this archive.

Merge carefully
1. Back up root/uitooltip.py. Locate the AddItemData signature used by your own client; inventories, costume systems and transmutation extensions often add parameters.
2. Keep your existing item selection and tooltip construction. Add the GM-only VNUM line near the end of normal item information, before ShowToolTip. Preserve the chr/player imports if they are already present.
3. Check that chr.IsGameMaster accepts a character VID on your binary and that GetMainCharacterIndex is available in your Python binding. Do not silently substitute an account ID or item slot index.
4. Repack root and compare a known item on a GM character with a normal player. Check an inventory item, equipment slot and shop tooltip; the normal tooltip must still render and the debug line should follow the branch's GM check.

Scope and validation
This is display-only diagnostic information. A Python GM check does not grant or secure server privileges, and it is not a way to keep an item's numeric identifier secret. The archive passed integrity/checksum inspection and its single snippet was reviewed; no client runtime test was performed. No fixes are claimed.
