How I checked the result:A short text example is usually easier to investigate than an entire server archive. Replace private usernames, hostnames and addresses with placeholders. Remove passwords, API keys, payment details and player information. Do not post an entire private source tree.
For proto problems
Include the header, the failing row and any referenced target row. State whether the file is a plain-text export, SQL dump or binary proto. If you used the free checker, paste the relevant finding and line number.
For encoding problems
Keep an untouched original and state the encoding used when importing and exporting. A screenshot of garbled text alone is not enough to determine which conversion happened.
When solved
Reply with the cause, the smallest useful change and how you verified it. Do not replace the whole thread with 'fixed'. Keeping the explanation makes the forum useful for everyone.
